Thousands of organizations rely on the SAP Business Suite for their critical business operations. With maintenance for SAP ECC slated to end in 2027, most of these companies should be preparing to move to SAP S/4HANA. Unfortunately, CIOs and business leaders are having difficulty grasping the overall business value that justifies moving to SAP’s new digital core.
According to Gartner, “SAP Customers struggle to develop a transitional roadmap to adopt S/4HANA due to multiple complex decisions that business and IT must agree on, such as whether to use SAP’s industry solutions. Migration activities are very difficult to reverse and a poor migration strategy risks increased costs and causes project delays." Gartner further says, "Many CIOs are having a difficult time identifying the business value of S/4HANA adoption and making a compelling case for it.” 1
